Inside the small black box, First Man has apparently arrived on the other shore.  The Boatman delivers his bags.  Were there two or three bags?
First Man considers taking a plane.
But then is advised to hop a train.
Unfortunately, the Red Cap "doesn't do bags.
The Customs Inspectors ask for his passport.  First Man has lost his identification.  All he has is a card that identifies him as a "Fillard, Dealer of Cards" and a Social Security Card with a name that could be either "Moose" or "Mafia" on it. -- or is it Koriakides? First Man can't remember his own name.
One of the Customs Inspectors thinks he knows First Man, even though he can't rremember his name -- maybe it is Koriakides.  He offers to help carry First Man's bags into town for him.
Two goose-stepping CEOs arrive on the scene.  First Man thinks they are his old school chums, Portia and Caeser. They are Paula and Phillip, and they want nothing to do with "the goddam dirty foreigner."
First Man is taken in for questioning by two police officers.   One of them acts as translator, blithely inventing First Man's statements.  (All are speaking in English)
Above:  The chief officer removes his/her moustache and tells First Man he is free to go.

Left:  The second officer gives First Man directions to the passport office.  He must watch out for the crocodiles in the pond.
A woman appears -- she looks familiar -- but she too doesn't understand a word of First Man's language.  He must be a foreigner.   A police officer arrests her for talking to foreigners, even though she claims she wasnt' really talking with him, because she wasn't speaking his language.
A tour guide appears, and with him four tourists, who all have their visas, passports and return flights booked.  They take photos with disposable cameras.
First Man thinks he knows the tourists -- they live down the street from him.  But they are horrified when he asserts that he has seen them at the grocery store, the launromat, and the discount liquor store.
The tourists and the guide go on their merry way, and First Man is left all alone in confusion and dispair.

A Young Woman passes by.  First Man thinks he knows her, but can't remember when and where they met.  The Young Woman ages years as they converse, but leaves him with a kiss on the cheek.

First Man needs a break and suggests that the audience needs one as well. It is time for intermission.

The tourists reappear to guide the audience back up to the Atrium, where rest rooms and coffee machines are available.
